This site aims to showcase a new Australian organisation that's green to the core, while taking a balanced, practical approach to implementing its aims. Our first project is the development of biodiesel as an alternative fuel for all diesel-powered vehicles in Australia. Current activities include development of large scale plants for the international market, small scale home and business plants to be on sale in Australia soon, and to have biodiesel fuel on sale as soon as soon as excise, standards and grants issues are resolved. We're also researching performance and viability of ethanol as a substitute fuel for petroleum-fueled vehicles, wood-gas (methane) as a replacement for non-renewable natural gas, and other exciting projects. These alternatives are renewable, cleaner than our current choices, and viable right now with support from Australian people, media and government.
From wave-power for coastal communities to solar solutions for sheep stations, and from biodiesel for road trains to landfill-methane for suburbia; Harvest Energy's mission is to solve any energy need in a responsible, sustainable way.
There's oceans of solutions to the current environmental and energy crises. Our Earth has all the resources we need right now to solve humankind's thirst for energy, and answers to all the pollution and waste we create in satisfying that thirst. HarvestEnergy is working with many facets of biodiesel, including large scale implementation in Australia and internationally. Associated issues, such as oil supply from crop and waste sources, are also on the agenda.
